Wiggle & PlayECFE ClassesFor ages 12 months - Kindergarten (parents stay with their children) Non-separating w/ short parent discussion time. Join us for a fun-filled ECFE class where you and your child enjoy the joy of movement! Both gross motor and fine motor activities are essential for a growing child’s development. In this class, your little one(s) will have the opportunity to jump, run, climb, and slide alongside friends. Parents will have the opportunity to connect with the Parent and Family Educator for a brief discussion on motor development, movement, and play while the children enjoy some supervised play or participate in some exercises! Wonderful Ones & TwosECFE ClassesAges 11-30 months Sibling care is available, sign-up during registration! Non-separating and gradually separating options. With a focus on connection and building comfort in new spaces, this class includes parent/child tabletop games and manipulatives, sensory experiences, circle time and creative play. In this class, parents and their child(ren) will interact through play experiences designed to meet the growing needs of the curious one and two-year-old. A snack time is offered with parents volunteering to bring store-bought snacks each week. Play It!® method keeps students on track with new chess lessons and puzzles each week as well as guided games and in-class tournaments. Class fee includes ChessKid.com membership for the session. Each {YEL!} Chess class follows four basic components: Teach It!… Each class students are taught different chess concepts and coached to implement those concepts into their chess games. Practice It!… Students practice positions set by the coach to improve their understanding of the concept. Puzzle It!… Students are given chess puzzles (constructed by WIM Serafima Sokolovskaya) and work with coach guidance to solve them. Play It!… Each class ends with students playing 20-30 minutes of chess. Coaches often feature in-class tournaments during the session.
