DYBA Tiger Cub Saturday Basketball (Grades 1-2)

Get ready to hit the court and have some fun! The Delano Youth Basketball Association is launching a brand-new winter program designed to introduce our Tiger Cub athletes to the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, supportive, and team-centered environment. Players will develop essential skills in dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork while gaining game-like experience through exciting 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 play. Each session will include skill-building drills led as a full group, followed by mini-games where players can put their new skills into action. Participants will be placed on teams coached by volunteer coaches who receive training and practice plans from Delano High School Varsity coaches. Each player will also receive a team jersey as part of the program.

Program Prerequisites: Participants must have a basic understanding of and be able to demonstrate dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive skills. They must also be able to run, follow directions, jump, communicate verbally with peers and coaches, and work as a team with their peers.
