Delano Community Education Youth Basketball Fall Clinic (Grades 1-3)BasketballWaitlistDelano Community Education Youth Basketball Friday Clinic Grades 1-3 The Delano Community Education Youth Basketball Friday Clinic will be a scrimmage-based clinic to get our athletes experience playing 3-on-3 and 5-on-5. The clinic will focus on learning through scrimmaging. This is meant for fun while gaining experience on the court. The clinic will be great for athletes of all levels to work on skill development. Participants need to wear athletic clothing and shoes, and bring a 27.5 youth-size basketball and a water bottle to each session. Parent volunteers are needed to help coach the Fall Clinic. We will accept one volunteer for every 10 participants per group. Volunteers will have their child’s registration fee refunded for their help with the program. Potential volunteer coaches must be registered volunteers with the school district. Delano Community Education Youth Basketball Fall Clinic (Ages 3-6)BasketballDelano Community Education Youth Basketball Fall Clinic Ages 3-6 The Delano CE Youth Basketball Clinic will introduce skill progression to our participants while maintaining a focus on FUN! We will concentrate on developing skills in dribbling, passing, and shooting. This will be great for all levels to work on skill development for our youngest athletes. 3 and 4-year-olds will become familiar with the game, learn basketball skills, and have fun running around. 5 and 6-year-olds will work on skills in the first half of the session and scrimmage during the second half. Parent volunteers are needed to help coach the Fall Clinic. We will accept one volunteer for every 10 participants per group. Volunteers will have their child’s registration fee refunded for their help with the program. Potential volunteer coaches must be registered volunteers with the school district. Please consider pulling your child aside for a brief conversation or joining them in activities until they feel more comfortable. DYBA Tiger Cub Saturday Basketball (Grades 1-2)BasketballGrades 1 & 2 Get ready to hit the court and have some fun! The Delano Youth Basketball Association is ready to welcome our Tiger Cub athletes to our winter clinic. Players will work on the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, supportive, and team-centered environment. Players will develop essential skills in dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork while gaining game-like experience through exciting 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 play. Each session will include skill-building drills led as a full group, followed by mini-games where players can put their new skills into action. Participants will be placed on teams coached by volunteer coaches who receive training and practice plans from Delano High School Varsity coaches. Each player will also receive a team jersey as part of the program. Join the fun—build confidence, make friends, and discover a love for basketball that will last for years to come!
