Gale Woods Farm CampDay CampsFarm Camp > entering grades 1 - 3 Join the farmers at Gale Woods Farm for four full days of exciting farm-focused activities. Enjoy animal care, harvesting and cooking with garden produce, making crafts, and assisting with farm projects. Each group of students is led by a Gale Woods Farm Educator and chaperoned by a Community Education staff member. Please bring a bag lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray each day. Community Education is looking for three chaperones to supervise our groups at Gale Woods during this camp.The chaperones will be paid for their time during the camp. We need one adult and two high school students (10th-grade or older). Explore the natural farm setting while helping with daily chores, making fresh farm snacks and a variety of hands-on activities. Summertime in the ParksDay CampsSummertime in the Parks >For children entering grades 1-6 If you enroll more than one child in the same week, please select the "Additional Child" price for any additional children of the same family. Summertime in the Park is an opportunity for our kids to get outside, enjoy the weather, build friendships and participate in activities. Each day, there will be planned events for the kids to compete with and work together on. Summertime in the Parks is a fun way to burn off energy and get together with friends from school. Please make sure your child has: a labeled water bottle, snack, sunscreen, bug repellent, and hand sanitizer. Breaks will be provided. Week 1 July 20 - 23 - DIS Playground & Grass Field 8 (G8) ( Registration Deadline: July 8) Playground and Field Games Week: Playgrounds & Field Games Week will take place at the Delano Intermediate School Playground and Grass Field 8 and is packed with active outdoor fun. Participants will rotate through classic playground games, relay races, and large-group field activities that build teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. Come ready to move, make friends, and enjoy a high-energy week of summer fun! Week 2 July 27 - 30 - Barb King Park ( Registration Deadline: July 15) Athletics/Outdoor Games Week: We will play various team-style games such as kickball, wiffle ball, soccer, and football. Yard games will include: Sharks and minnows, ships across the ocean, freeze tag, and more! This week, all kids need tennis shoes and athletic clothes. (Please ensure all personal items are labeled with your athlete’s name) Sign up for one week or both!! Pre-registration required.
