Summertime in the ParksDay CampsSummertime in the Parks >For children entering grades 1-6 If you enroll more than one child in the same week, please select the "Additional Child" price for any additional children of the same family. Summertime in the Park is an opportunity for our kids to get outside, enjoy the weather, build friendships and participate in activities. Each day, there will be planned events for the kids to compete with and work together on. Summertime in the Parks is a fun way to burn off energy and get together with friends from school. Please make sure your child has: a labeled water bottle, snack, sunscreen, bug repellent, and hand sanitizer. Breaks will be provided. Week 1 July 20 - 23 - DIS Playground & Grass Field 8 (G8) ( Registration Deadline: July 8) Playground and Field Games Week: Playgrounds & Field Games Week will take place at the Delano Intermediate School Playground and Grass Field 8 and is packed with active outdoor fun. Participants will rotate through classic playground games, relay races, and large-group field activities that build teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. Come ready to move, make friends, and enjoy a high-energy week of summer fun! Week 2 July 27 - 30 - Barb King Park ( Registration Deadline: July 15) Athletics/Outdoor Games Week: We will play various team-style games such as kickball, wiffle ball, soccer, and football. Yard games will include: Sharks and minnows, ships across the ocean, freeze tag, and more! This week, all kids need tennis shoes and athletic clothes. (Please ensure all personal items are labeled with your athlete’s name) Sign up for one week or both!! Pre-registration required. Program Prerequisites: Participants should be able to move and play on uneven surfaces, throw, catch, and kick game objects such as, but not limited to, footballs, kickballs, soccer balls, and frisbees, follow 2-3 step directions, verbally communicate with peers and coaches, and work as a team with their peers.2026 Summer -
Summer Youth Basketball ClinicBasketballAges 3–5 The Summer Youth Basketball Clinic introduces young athletes to basketball through age-appropriate skill progression with a strong emphasis on fun! Participants will develop fundamental skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting in a supportive, energetic environment. The Summer Youth Basketball Clinic is designed for all ability levels and is a great way for our youngest players to build confidence and enjoy being active. Ages 3–4: Children will explore basic ball handling and basketball movements while participating in fun, engaging games that encourage running and coordination. Age 5: Participants will focus on skill development—including dribbling, shooting, and passing—during the first half of each session, followed by a guided scrimmage in the second half. What to Bring: Ages 3-4: A 22-inch basketball for each session. Ages 5-6: A 25.5-inch basketball for each session. Parent Volunteers NeededParent volunteers are essential to the success of our Summer Clinic. We will accept one volunteer for every ten participants per group. Approved volunteers will receive a refund of their child’s registration fee. All volunteer coaches must be registered and approved through the school district (see volunteer registration information). Program Prerequisites: Participants must be able to run, follow one or two-step directions, demonstrate hand-eye coordination to attempt to dribble, pass, or shoot a basketball, jump, verbally communicate with peers and coaches, and work as a team with their peers.2026 Summer

Girls Basketball Summer CampBasketballGirls Entering Grades 1 - 7 Girls in grades 1-7 can improve their basketball skills by attending the Girls Basketball Summer Camp. The camp will focus on basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and rebounding. Games and contests will also be a part of the camp to help reinforce the skills taught throughout the summer. 6632-S2- Entering Grades 5-7 6632-S3 - Entering Grades 3-4 6632-S4 - Entering Grades 1-2 Program Prerequisites (EGr. 5-7): Participants must have a basic understanding of and ability to demonstrate dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense.
