NEW! Let Grow PLAY CLUBYouth EnrichmentGrades Kinder - 3rd The Let Grow PLAY CLUB - a new activity where kids make their own fun without adult organization - looks like "just plain fun." However, that "fun" is where children learn the important skills of focus, compromise, leadership, and empathy. At Let Grow PLAY CLUB, your kids will get the resilience-building playtime they need OUTSIDE with a multi-aged group (grades K-3). Though PLAY CLUB is supervised by adults, children will be given space for the creativity, dispute resolution, and social interaction they need to someday develop into empowered adults. And it's "just plain fun!" Play Club is nature-based and students will need to bring or wear appropriate clothing for the weather (e.g., closed-toed shoes, coats, hats for sun, etc.). Play Club participants will gather after school and go outside in a designated space near the Elementary School. (More instructions to be emailed after registration.) Parent pick up will occur at Door 7A (South side) of Delano Elementary School, between the Hockey Arena and DES at 4pm. Participation requirements: Students must agree and be able to abide by THREE Play Club Rules in order to participate: 1) I will not deliberately hit or physically hurt another child. 2) I will not leave the designated Play Club area without adult permission. 3) I agree to listen to the adults (who will only get involved when they need to, but then it's my job to listen). Students must be able to follow these three rules in order to participate in Play Club. Parents: The goal of Play Club is to provide children with the opportunity to create, socialize, explore, and solve problems without adult involvement. Parents understand that though most children experience only joy at Play Club, not all kids will be happy 100% of the time (as they work through challenges together). Parents understand that adults will not intervene on children's disagreements unless absolutely necessary. If a child deliberately hurts someone, they will need to take a break. Parents understand that this is a chance for children to become more resilient, resourcement, mature, and creative.2026 Winter-Spring
