For parents raising neurodiverse children, children with BIG emotions, and/or unique needs. Adult only class co-hosted with Delano Elementary School. This class offers parents an opportunity to connect with one another in a safe and positive environment. Enjoy topic-based discussion focused on support and resource-sharing. Resources and expert information will be made available and parents are encouraged to share their own wisdom and experience. Caregiver Connection is open to parents of children of any age with a focus on early childhood and elementary years. Winter/Spring DATES & DISCUSSION TOPICs January 12th: Addressing tough social issues (friendships, peer pressure) February 9th: Caregiver self-care, self-compassion, and stress management March 9th: Relationships within the family (siblings, parent-child, and parent-parent) April 13th: Big feelings and regulation Although there are assigned topics for each class, there will be time for questions and concerns from participants. Where: Delano Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room/ Community Ed. Parent Ed Room - You are welcome to attend in-person or virtually via zoom.
