Grades 7-12 Robotics Team Open House: The Orange Crush Robotics Team will be present during the Delano High School Open House on August 26th. Be a part of the fastest-growing extracurricular activity in Minnesota! Delano Orange Crush Robotics is looking for students in grades 7-12 with a passion for engineering, building, programming, business, or marketing to be a part of our championship team. We will be having weekly meetings this fall with projects to gear up for the season starting in January. Please stop by our booth during the Open House or attend the information meeting for interested students and parents on September 8th at 7:00 p.m.in the STEM lab to learn more about the program and see what Robotics is all about! Participants must be able to hold and manipulate tools in a safe manner and have a basic understanding of computer systems used in various aspects of the program.

Students in grades 7–12 are invited to join a dynamic team that combines creativity, collaboration, and technology. Whether you’re interested in engineering, building, programming, graphic design, or social media, there’s a place for you on the team. The team meets weekly through the fall, participates in off-season competitions and educational conferences, and prepares for the release of the next challenge. The Competition Season kicks off in January, when the new game is revealed to teams across the country. From that point, members work together to design, build, and program a new robot for the season’s challenges. The competitive season runs January through April, with opportunities to travel and compete at regional events. Team members should be prepared for a more serious time commitment during this exciting, fast-paced part of the year.
