About Swim Lessons
Tiger Swim Lessons
Build Confidence. Learn Lifesaving Skills. Love the Water.
Delano Community Education's Tiger Swim program provides a fun, encouraging, and progressive approach to learning how to swim. Designed for children of all abilities—from first-time swimmers to those refining competitive strokes—our certified instructors focus on developing lifelong water safety, swimming skills, and confidence in and around the water.
Lessons are organized by age and ability with small class sizes that allow instructors to provide individualized feedback and support. Swimmers progress through clearly defined skill levels, mastering water safety, floating, breath control, stroke development, deep-water skills, and endurance before advancing to the next level.
Whether your child is just getting comfortable in the water or preparing for swim team, Tiger Swim offers a safe, positive environment where every swimmer can grow.
Program Levels
Little Tigers: Preschool swimmers (approximately ages 3–6)
Junior Tigers: School-age swimmers (ages 6–12)
Not sure which level to register for? Use the Parent Placement Guide to determine the best starting point. Swimmers who attended the summer mini-swim camps should register for the level recommended by their instructor at the end of their camp.
⭐ New Family Tip
New swimmers should register based on current ability, not age. It's common for children of different ages to be in the same skill level while they build strong swimming fundamentals.
Swimming is more than a sport—it's a life skill. Tiger Swim helps children develop confidence, safety awareness, and skills they'll use for a lifetime.
