Intermediate Pottery Wheel Camp
⭐Grades 6th & Up
This Intermediate Camp is for previous campers who have taken the Pottery Wheel class in summers past. We will build on the basic skills of centering, throwing, trimming, and glazing as well as explore more advanced methods and techniques. During this seven-day camp, returning potters will improve their throwing skills. Your best creations will be kept and fired in the kiln. Once fired, pieces will be glazed, making them food-safe. As you know, we are sure to make a mess. Please come dressed appropriately and bring a full-sized towel that can get dirty. (Hair ties are required for those with long hair)
Instructor: Rachael Mathews
Program Prerequisites: Have already taken Pottery Wheel Camp. Participants must be able to hold a paintbrush, work with clay, follow a series of directions, verbally communicate with peers and instructors, and collaborate with their peers
