Pottery Wheel Camp for Beginners
⭐Grades 5th & Up
Pottery Wheel Camp is an introduction to the electric pottery wheel! Give it a spin! Learn the basic skills of centering, throwing, trimming, and glazing. During this seven-day camp, first-time and returning potters will get lots and lots of good practice. A few of your best creations will be kept and fired in the kiln. Once fired, pieces will be glazed, making them food-safe. We are sure to make a mess. Please come dressed appropriately and bring a full-sized towel that can get dirty. (Hair ties are required for those with long hair)
Instructor: Rachael Mathews
Program Prerequisites: Participants must be able to hold a paintbrush, work with clay, follow a series of directions, verbally communicate with peers and instructors, and collaborate with their peers.
